Megan Decker currently works as an independent consultant under the name Staircase Advisory. Most recently, Decker was a member of the Oregon Public Utility Commission from 2017 to 2025, serving as Chair from 2018.
She previously worked in various roles as a lawyer representing land developers, the Port of Portland, and Renewable Northwest, a regional renewable energy advocacy organization.
As a Commissioner, Decker held leadership roles related to Western regional electricity coordination, serving from 2019 to 2025 as Co-Chair of the West’s Committee on Regional Electric Power Cooperation.
Decker is a graduate of Stanford University and University of Washington School of Law.
