Michael Crabb

SVP Business Development

Michael Crabb is SVP of Business Development at BrightNight where he is helping develop and execute the digital infrastructure and gas generation business plan. He brings 14 years of power experience in senior management positions focused on origination, development, strategy, and financing.

Prior to joining BrightNight, Michael was the Senior Vice President, Commercial at Last Energy, a micro nuclear power plant developer. He was responsible for creating and executing the go-to-market business plan, focused on originating data centers and industrial offtakers, developing and executing on the project development pipeline, and structuring project and corporate capital facilities.

Before joining Last Energy, Michael was the Vice President of M&A and Corporate Strategy for Tenaska, Inc., a privately-held North American energy company. He held key roles across the full lifecycle of natural gas power plants, including early stage development work on 2.3 GW of new and retrofit projects in ERCOT, MISO, and PJM as well as commercial optimization that included extending tolling agreements, renegotiating gas supply agreements, and closing on $2.7Bn in project financing. Michael also currently serves as a Board Member for American National Bank, a regional bank serving Nebraska, Iowa, and Minnesota.

Michael lives in Austin, Texas, with his wife and two little girls. He enjoys traveling, skiing, squash, Nebraska husker football, and discussing economics and business.
